She graduated from Connecticut College and the University of South Australia. She lives in Connecticut, with her family, a flock of chickens, and two raggedy rescue dogs.

Marion McNabb is an author and screenwriter for film and television whose work includes the animated series Rainbow Rangers on Nick Jr. and Netflix. She studied film at NYU and received a theater degree from Arizona State University. McNabb lives on Cape Cod with her family, swimming with the mermaids when not working on her next novel.
Emily Wakeman Cyr is a lifelong New Englander. She studied English and Education at Quinnipiac University and the University of Connecticut. She taught reading and writing in public schools before becoming a stay-at-home mom, a role that quickly transformed to stay-at-home writer. She and her husband and three children divide their time between their home in the woods of rural Connecticut and their home away from home on Cape Cod. Pleasant Bay is her first novel.
